E. Lucille Tunica

E. Lucille Tunica, 77, of Carbondale, formerly of St. Louis and Paradise Prairie area, passed away at 4:47 A.M., Thursday, January 16, 2003 at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.
Lucille was a retired nurse and homemaker.  She was of the Evangelical faith.
She was born February 16, 1925 at Tamaroa, IL, the daughter of Everett and Emma (Krone) Thompson.
She married Bob Tunica at St. Louis, Missouri and he preceded her in death on October 7, 1975.
She is survived by one brother - Kenneth Thompson of Tamaroa, one sister - Elmira Lagattuta of Chicago, IL, two nieces - Marjorie Thompson of Kenosha, WI and Angie Anderson of Chicago, IL, and one nephew - Albert Thompson of Tamaroa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one sister - Helen Queen.
Funeral services were at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, January 18, 2003 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Paul Schultz officiating.
Friends called from 9 to 10 A.M., Saturday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Interment was in the Sunset Memorial Park at Du Quoin.
